On March 18 in Shukhov Lab Natalia Fishman, advisor to the president of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Vicente Guallart, academic supervisor of the master program ‘Prototyping future cities’, discussed the future of urban public spaces in cities and shared an experience of creating livable and valuable public spaces in cities in Russia and worldwide.

Benito Juarez, the founder of the first Fab Lab in South America and the Latin America Fab Lab Network, has come to HSE University for the 2018 autumn semester as an invited lecturer on Master’s Programme in Prototyping Future Cities. Claudio Silva, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the Polytechnic School of Engineering, New York University visited Moscow to take part in the Graduate School of Urban Studies and Planning summer programme, Adaptive City. Professor Silva is a specialist in computer technology and big data. He works on interdisciplinary projects involving biotechnology, neurobiology, physics, ornithology, sports analysis, urban changes and others. Silva has been a major influence on researchers working in big data, for one thing, because of his determination to close the gap between academic research and practical applications.
